God is at work!

Connor when he was younger!

WOW!  What a week!  In less that one month we have over $12,000 in our adoption fund at the church!  THANK YOU!  I have had many people ask how they can contribute financially.  There are two ways...
     1.  send a check made Payable to First Baptist Midland and on the memo put SOS Adoption Project to First Baptist Church Midland, 2104 W. Louisiana Ave Midland, TX 79701 (an account that was set up strictly for Connor and the adoption)       OR
     2.  Go to http://www.reecesrainbow.org/sponsorhogg.html

We still need $13,000 to be able to bring Connor home!
A couple in our Sunday School class is doing a fundraiser called "Cans for Connor".  They are collecting coke cans and will recycle them.  The money made from that will go towards bringing Connor home!  We are going to hold a large garage sale hopefully in October to help raise money to get this little boy home with us.  God is providing and if this is His will it will happen!!!  He is so good!

We had our home study Sunday afternoon.  I spent all day Saturday making sure our house was PERFECT!  I wanted the person doing the home study to feel welcomed not only to a clean house but also a house that is ready for Connor!  Her comment was "This is the easiest home study I have ever done!"  Thank you Lord!!!!!  The 2 1/2 hours were filled with questions about Matt and I, our families, our values and morals, a tour of the home, Madilyn and of course why is adoption for us!  IT WENT GREAT!  We felt so good and positive when she left our home!

Of course we all have to remember and pray about the fact that Connor is not 'for sure' ours YET!  Even though we know he is in our hearts he is not to the agency and Eastern Europe.  We need to continue to pray that this Eastern European country will keep the adoptions open and will approve his forever home with us!  We just got the packet to prepare our Dossier to send to the Eastern European country.  WOW it is a lot of paper work!  This packet is the big one!  After the country receives this packet things really start moving!!!  The most exciting information we received this week is...that our first trip to this Eastern European country to meet our Connor could be as soon as November or December!!!  WooooHooooo!

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.  Plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

  2. Hi-I just want to introduce myself, since you don't know me. My name is Karien Prinsloo and I am from Pretoria, South Africa. I saw Connor's photo on RR. He reminded me of my friend's son. I was deciding to become his prayer warrior, but before I could commit to do that, you have already "found" him!! I would love to follow this journey and will be praying for you. My 4th son, Kallen is 4 and have ds.
